A URL redirect is a rule that sends a user from one URL to another. Redirects are commonly used to redirect visitors from old landing pages to new ones (e.g. a user saved a job listing and wants to revisit the page again).
It is important to set redirects for the most important landing pages and to analyse the website traffic. If a page does not exist anymore and no redirect to a different page is set, the user will usually get to a 404 page. In some cases it makes sense to redirect the user to a new page instead.
URL redirects can be added here: [yoursite]/admin/config/search/redirect. If you have any questions about URL redirects and when they should be set from an old page to a new one, please send us a message. We are happy to provide you with more information.
