- Go to the “Taxonomy Manager” either by:
- Selecting the Taxonomy Manager from the shortcut menu "Management" > content > Taxonomy Manager
- Path: click on “Administration” in the admin path beneath the admin menu
-> “structure” -> “Taxonomy Manager” (the mere “Taxonomy” link is for free tagging) - Select the vocabulary (e.g. Occupational fields) you wish to change.
- You can click on the term you want to edit.
- Now you can edit all available fields such as name, description, URL aliases, or synonyms (see also: Why should I add synonyms to taxonomy terms and why are they so important?
- Please understand that these changes will be directly reflected in the frontend.
- If you want to add an URL alias, click on "URL alias" and select “Add URL redirect to this taxonomy term”. You can find the nodes to add for the alias of the taxonomies next to their name when selected. An overview of all page nodes can be found in the URL Alias menu (Path: click on “Administration” in the admin path beneath the admin menu -> “Configuration” -> “Search and Meta data” -> “URL Aliases”) in the “System column”
- Click the “Save changes” button to finalise your changes.
